About

My name is Kathryn Ross and welcome to my blog.

This blog is an outlet for the right side of my brain. A place for the musings that run rampant through my mind daily.  As a business executive I am not a traditional creative, yet I find when my brain is allowed to wander and dream  is when the solutions to the most complex challenges I face (professionally and personally) seem to magically appear.  A trusted advisor recently described it as the talent of connecting dots that others don’t see.  I agree with him.

I currently work for someone who often asks “What have you learned today?” Until I heard him say it three times, it didn’t occur to me that there is something to learn and grow from each day that will serve us in business and life in general.  We just need to acknowledge and register those lessons in our brains.  Now I fully embrace the philosophy and make the question “What did I learn today?” part of my daily reflection.

In this space I will seek to share my musings, daily life lessons, best practices and roots of inspiration.  It is my hope that by following and participating in this blog you will regularly take away a new way of looking at life, an inspiration or even a random thought that will help you learn something today or create an eureka moment to connect the dots in your world- business, family, life.

This is a new process is for me and I do not consider myself a writer on any level, so I appreciate your commencing the journey with me.  I thank you in advance for your patience and effort to make a regular check-in.  Patience because I will undoubtedly make mistakes along the way and check-ins with feedback, your learnings, suggestions and even criticism so this blog will become a collaboration of our reveries.

Welcome,

Kathry
